The Gentleman's Guide to Winter Dressing
Share
Winter's coming. As the temperatures begin to drop, the true gentleman stands ready, feet warm, feeling snug and smug in equal measure. So, how does he do it? It's quite simple, really.
Here's your checklist for the winter season.
Cover the ankles
Switch to high-top shoes for the winter. It covers the ankle area, protecting it from the cold air and possible rain.
Wear thicker socks
Pick socks that insulate your feet from the cold. Also ensure that they pair well with your shoes. Find the right balance between warmth and comfort.
Choose darker colours
In some parts of the country, winter can mean messier roads. Move from lighter to darker colours for your footwear to avoid discolouration.
Stay water-proof
It's time to bring out the waterproof leather. Stay one step ahead of the winter with shoes that protect themselves from the cold weather conditions.
Warm the feet
And finally, add winter-ready footwear to your wardrobe. Find shoes that are made for the season with in-built lining that insulates your feet and keeps in the body heat.
